The City of Garden City offers both residential refuse and recycling services through a contract with Waste Management. If you would like more information on refuse and recycling services please call the Utility Services Department at (912) 966-7777.

If a designated holiday falls on a regularly scheduled service day, the service will be performed on the next weekday (for example, if the Holiday occurs on a Monday, Monday services will occur on Tuesday, Tuesday services will occur on Wednesday, and so on for that calendar week) except that if a designated holiday falls on Thursday, the Recyclable Material collection will occur on the day before (Wednesday).


The sanitation drivers are only off the following days:

New Year's Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
